Mammut is constantly breaking new ground, also in its marketing activities. At Mammut test events, staged annually since 2007, customers and employees get to meet and interact on a regular basis. The events give rise to strikingly unusual photographs – for example, 200 skiers in a triangular formation, 60 Mammut employees in a sleep laboratory at 2700 meters of altitude, and 30 mountain guides on an isolated rocky outcrop. Apart from the unique experience, participants get a taste of the brand world as “Mammut photo models”, making them key ambassadors for the Swiss alpine and climbing gear specialist. When Kaspar Tanner laid the foundation stone for his rope-making business in Dintikon near Lenzburg (Switzerland) in 1862, he could not have dreamt that, one day, it would grow into such an innovative and successful alpine sports brand.
